Sustainability is an essential factor today – and the hospitality and gastronomy sectors are no exception. For us, it is not just an important goal, but a heartfelt commitment to integrate sustainable practices into our daily operations and provide you, our guest, with an environmentally conscious and resource-efficient stay.

Of course, we are not yet perfect in all areas, but we are continuously working on it. We have already made significant investments, and the first successes are clearly visible. But we don’t rest on our laurels – we are continuing our sustainable efforts!

What Are We Actually Doing?

Sustainability is close to our heart, and we are committed to taking concrete actions to make a positive contribution to the environment and society.

Tree Action – We are participating

As a hotel, we support this initiative and want to actively contribute to protecting our local forests. Some of the savings we make by canceling room cleaning are donated to the organization "Aktion Baum." This way, you can also make a valuable contribution!

Increasing Energy Efficiency

Through the use of solar and photovoltaic systems, as well as e-charging stations for e-bikes and e-cars, we are actively reducing our energy consumption. The remaining energy needs are covered by green electricity.

Reducing Energy Consumption

By using flow restrictors in the showers and an intelligent heating system, we lower CO₂ emissions and optimize overall energy usage.

Avoiding Packaging Waste

We avoid unnecessary single-serving packaging. Our breakfast buffet focuses on plastic-free, sustainable solutions.

Vegan/Vegetarian Dishes & Regional Products

We increasingly offer regional and vegan/vegetarian dishes.

Digital Guest Directory instead of Paper

Our digital guest directory helps us minimize paper consumption while efficiently and modernly informing our guests.

Sustainable Hotel Rooms and Apartments

Our rooms are equipped with eco-friendly amenities: paper toothpaste cups, biodegradable products, and dispensers for shower gel and soap. We have also switched to LED lighting to reduce energy consumption.

Bike-Friendly Vacation

We offer secure bicycle storage and an e-bike charging station. So, you can even travel to us in an environmentally friendly way by bike.

Mini-Bar – An Eco-Friendly Alternative

To minimize energy consumption, we have reduced traditional mini-bars and instead offer a modern beverage vending machine with a wide selection of chilled drinks.

Waste Management and Recycling

We avoid waste wherever possible and focus on proper waste separation. Paper and cardboard waste are taken to the recycling center, and we offer our guests the option of choosing more sustainable alternatives, such as edible or paper straws.

Digital Booking Confirmations and Invoices

To save paper, we send booking confirmations and invoices digitally via email whenever possible.

Climate-Neutral Printed Materials

Our printed materials, such as postcards and flyers, are offset to be climate-neutral.

Book Exchange – Swap, Don’t Buy

Our bookshelf allows guests to exchange books, contributing to resource conservation. If a guest no longer needs a book, they can leave it here for others to read.
